Over the next several weeks, parishioners will be hearing from Stewardship speakers in short "Stewardship Moments" at the end of Sunday morning worship services.
As you listen to our Stewardship speakers, consider how you support St. Philip's in so many ways with your time, talent and treasure. The Stewardship package has been emailed to everyone on our email mailing list and can also be downloaded at the bottom of this page. For those who need a paper version, some copies will be available by request in the narthex.
Financial Promise 2025 pledge sheets (on pale blue paper) are available for every donor in the narthex and are to be returned by November 24, please.
This year's series of Stewardship Moments culminates on November 24, with a Commitment Sunday Parish Lunch to which all are invited. Mark your calendars now!
Blessings faithful Community of St. Philip's.
Stewardship time has come again, where we look at how we use the gifts God has given us for the purposes of the Kingdom of God. How we experience God's grace in our lives isn't always straightforward, but it's always there. We all have Stewardship stories.
One night I came home crying from Parish Council (not here!) I was frustrated and feeling unvalued and unloved, and while I was telling my husband all about the latest shenanigans at the parish council he told me that other parishioners had dropped off an apple pie during my meeting. I had married them that Valentine's day, when they were 72 years young (still one of my favourite weddings!). The apples were from their tree, and the pastry was hand made and beautiful. They did it, just because, and that night I needed it- it was a pure and wonderful gift.
This is one of my Stewardship stories, when God provided for me, right when I needed it, and it wasn't complicated or hard, it came from the gifts of ordinary and amazing people. What are your Stewardship stories?
Here is our Stewardship package for this year, and I hope you read it through prayerfully as you remember times when people have given you their time and talent and treasure right when you needed it!
May God bless you,
Liz+
