On June 30th, St. Philip's was bedecked with rainbows inside and out to provide a special welcome to LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit people and their families and friends as the church celebrated its first-ever Pride Sunday.
Many parishoners wore vibrant, colourful clothing as Rev. Lorne Manweiler led a festive Eucharist with prayers, music, readings and preaching affirming the dignity and worthiness of all children of God. The celebration continued afterwards in the church hall, with a coffee-and-cake reception.
For full details of the service, see the attached Order of Service below. A link to the recording of the livestream on Facebook is also provided. (Note that the livestream feed starts with a still image about 10-15 minutes prior to the service. When viewing our Pride Sunday recording, move the progress slider to 12:30 for the actual beginning of the service).
