We thank our youth and our Scouts who contributed to Remembrance Sunday with their presence, talents, and thoughtful voices. Euan Wilson read "In Flanders' Fields" and paid tribute to the late Peter Fryer, British Forces veteran who had read the poem every year in his blazer and medals. A Legion cap reserved the front pew place where Peter Fryer sat in his last years. Venturer Scout and trumpeter John MacLachlan played The Last Post and Reveille. Cub Scout Jordan laid the first wreath on behalf of the Scouts in attendance. Mira Bortolusi and Lina Kotoge wrote and led us in the Prayers of the People. On the narthex glass wall hung a paper wreath of red poppies recording Scouts' thoughts about Remembrance Day. You all enriched our Remembrance service with your presence. Thank you.
