Maria just completed her Doctoral studies at McGill University with Isabelle Demeres, her doctoral research funded by the FRQ (Fonds de Recherche du Quebec).
Maria is the co-founder of Sapphonix Collective and also the programming director of medieval ensemble COMTESSA that will perform with Early Music Vancouver on August 5, 1:00 pm at Christ Church Cathedral. Tickets are available at earlymusic.bc.ca
She was awarded First-Place in RCCO Canadian National Organ Competition (2025) and recently named in CBC's Top 30 Classical Musicans under 30. CBC Maria has worked in multiple churches in Quebec as organist and choir director, is passionate about building community and making the organ more accessible to everyone, and about studying and programming historically underrepresented composers. Maria performs internationally at venues like Salle Bourgie, Maison Symphonique (Montreal), and the Orgelpark (Amsterdam) and in series such as Cal Performances (USA) and Bergen Orgelsommer (Norway).
