Letter from the Diocese of New Westminster
28 February 2021
Dear People of St Philip's,
We write to honour The Rev'd Stuart Hallam on his last Sunday with you and to ask you to join with us in wishing his family and him well as they return to the UK.
As you know, Stuart is an exceptional person, especially among those ordained to the priesthood in our church. Naturally entrepreneurial, keenly interested in the world outside church walls, Stuart brought a strong sense of the importance of outreach and a new sense of momentum to St Philip's during his brief time as rector. Together with you, Stuart cast a new vision for the parish's relationship to the neighbourhood and reminagined the configuration of a more flexible worship space at St. Philip's, raising funds to do both of these things. These have been strong accomplishments for St Philip's.
While we know that many of you are very, very sad to see Stuart and his family leave, we do hope you will join us in sending them forth with love and your best wishes as they go.
In Christ,
Melissa
